A Case of Meckel´s Diverticulum Diagnosed by ^(99m)Tc-Pertechnetate Scanning

Abstract
|
|
|
We experienced a case of Meckel´s diverticulum in a 2-year old male patient who presented with massive painless rectal bleeding.
Preoperative diagnosis was made by 99mTc-pertechnetate scanning.
Histopathologic finding revealed Meckel´s diverticulum containing ectopic gastric mucosa and ulceration of the ileal mucosa.
We report the case with brief review of literatures.
